Fuel Pump Power Module:
The Fuel Pump Power Module should be mounted as close to the fuel pump as practical and the wires powering the fuel pump
must remain twisted. If additional length is needed, maintain a twist of 27 turns per meter or 8 per foot to ensure adequate
protection from Electromagnetic Interference with the rest of the vehicle (i.e. radio and other control modules). The Fuel Pump
Power Module is fully sealed and can be mounted in any orientation but best practices should be maintained (i.e. away from heat
sources, maintain adequate clearance to moving parts, maintain adequate ground clearance, connector pointed in a downward
direction to prevent water intrusion etc).
Throttle Inlet Air Pressure Sensor:
The Throttle Inlet Air Pressure Sensor (sometimes called the Turbocharger boost sensor) measures the pressure between the
turbocharger and the throttle body. The sensor used on this engine is a 3 atmosphere sensor. This sensor also measures inlet
air temperature and provides this data to the Engine Control Module. This sensor needs to be mounted in between the cold air
side of the charge air cooler and the throttle body. Inlet tube P/N 22799478, part of kit 19332836, may be purchased separately
to facilitate installation of the Throttle Inlet Air pressure sensor. Chevy Performance engine completion kit, P/N 19332838 may
be purchased to facilitate the installation of the Throttle Inlet Air Pressure Sensor.
Engine Wiring Harness:
The following lists the engine and vehicle side connections. Each connector in the harness is labeled. Optional circuits are
described in the 'Optional Connections' section below: NOTE: A Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL- sometimes called a "service
engine soon" light) is mounted inside the fuse/relay center. A redundant MIL output is also available in the harness near the pedal
module connector. It is recommended that a MIL also be installed in a visible location in the passenger compartment. This circuit
requires any 12v low current light and an ignition 12v power source. The ECM MIL output supplies the ground for the circuit.
