around the support wheel and/or Bowden ca-
ble.

with country-specific regulations.
Jockey wheel
ADVICE
Because of a possible obstruction to the
brake linkage due to the fixing screws,
the screws must be attached from the
drawbar side when mounting the jockey
wheel (11)!
Make sure that the support wheel is seated
firmly.
Parking
If the trailer is uncoupled from the towing ve-
hicle, then the following must be done:
the parking brake must be engaged.
the trailer must be secured with two addi-
tional chocks.
When parking or laying up the vehicle/trai-
ler combination, engage the trailer's parking
brake.
CAUTION!
The trailer may roll back 25 to 30 cm un-
til the full force of the brake takes effect!
When laying up the trailer, ensure suffi-
cient clearance.
CAUTION!
When you apply the parking brake en-
sure that it functions correctly.
Incorrect function may be noticeable by the follo-
wing:
Noticeable loss of force
The handbrake lever does not move smoothly
The handbrake is difficult to move
Loose components
On handbrake levers with gas spring support also
by the following:

ASSEMBLY
CAUTION!
Risk of accidents!
In an emergency, it must be ensured
that after the breakaway cable has been
used to engage the handbrake lever
(handbrake in the closed position), the
lever remains accessible. If the hand-
brake were to make contact with the
road surface, the functioning of the emer-
gency brake could no longer be assured.
The attachment to the vehicle with regard
to height-adjustable support equipment (sup-
port wheel) for imposed loads greater than
50 kg as well as the setting of the coupling
height must fulfil the requirements as per ECE
R55-01 appendix 7.
Comply with any bodywork guidelines that are
provided.
The breakaway cable must always be passed
cleanly through a breakaway cable guide (2).
OPERATION
Adjusting the overrun hitch
WARNING!
Risk of accident due to high compo-
nent weight!
Components can fall off during ad-
justment. Adjust the drawbar with two
people!
Property damage due to a coupling height that
is too low. If the coupling height falls below the
required height, then this can lead to perma-
nent damage to the towbar member.
Maintain the coupling height (14)!
1. Pull out the spring cotter pin (3-1).
2. Unscrew the locking toggle (3-2).
3. Adjust the hitch components of the overrun
hitch upwards or downwards (3-3).
4. Tighten the locking toggle and secure it with
a hammer blow (hard rubber hammer).
5. Secure by means of spring cotter pin (3-1).
6. After about 50 km, retighten the locking
toggle.
