2. Install the Lavatory
Wall Hangers
Mark a vertical centerline at the location where you plan to install
the lavatory. Make sure the wood backing is in place where the
lavatory will be installed.
Make a pencil mark 4" (10.2 cm) to the left and right of the
centerline. Make sure the marks are level.
Insert 2" drywall screws and washers through the center slots in
the wall hangers and attach the wall hangers to the wood backing
at the desired height. For a 31" (78.7 cm) rim height, position the
wall hangers 30-3/8" (77.2 cm) above the floor. Tighten the
drywall screws so they are snug. Do not overtighten.
Install the faucet and drain according to the manufacturer's
instructions.
Carefully position the lavatory on the wall hangers. Adjust the
wall hanger height as needed to level the lavatory. When the
lavatory is level, mark the bottom lavatory mounting holes.
Remove the lavatory from the wall hangers.
Drill two 3/16" holes through the top holes in each wall hanger.
Also drill 3/16" holes at the two bottom lavatory mounting hole
marks. Thread two 1/4" x 2-1/4" lag bolts through each wall
hanger. Tighten securely.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not overtighten the lag
bolts, or damage to the lavatory may occur.
