1. Prepare the Site
The lavatory complies with ADA requirements when the rim is
no higher than 34" (86.4 cm) from the finished floor. Install the
lavatory 32" (81.3 cm) to 34" (86.4 cm) from the floor.
Turn off the water supply to the old lavatory and open the faucet
valves to relieve the water pressure.
Disconnect and remove the water supply tubing from the faucet.
Disconnect the drain assembly and remove the trap.
Remove the bolts or screws securing the old lavatory to the wall
and remove the old lavatory.
Install 3/8" water supply lines and 1-1/4" drain piping as shown
in the roughing-in information.
Install 2x6 or 2x8 wood backing to the stud framing at the desired
lavatory location. Refer to the roughing-in information for correct
placement. The backing must be securely attached to the stud
framing.
NOTE: If the finished wall is thicker than 1/2" (1.3 cm), increase the
length of the recommended 2" drywall screws and the 2-1/4" lag
bolts.
Install the finished wall material using established methods and
materials.
