InsTallaTIOn & use
Download and install
First install Adobe Air (latest version from https://get.adobe.com/de/air/) as an administrator.

After downloading the file, call up the file to install the download manager.

Download download manager and open the programme as an administrator.

FurTher InFOrMaTIOn

The download manager can be used for the following functions:
To update the navigation card data (fresh map)
c
To update the navigation software (always possible, even outside of the fresh map time period)
c
To restore the SD card
c
Fresh map time period: 60 ±2 days from inserting the sD card into the vehicle
all functions are available free of charge.
an active internet connection is required for the duration of use.
starting and settings
You can start the download manager via the start menu in Windows.

The download manager can be configured using the "Settings" button:

It is possible to use a proxy server as an option. If using a proxy server, please contact your IT administrator.

Change the path for the local cache for the downloaded data. Note: ensure that there is sufficient storage capacity in the target
c
destination. Depending on the card region, 20 GB or more of free storage capacity is required for updating or restoring the card.

Insert the SD card to be updated into the computer.

Start the download manager and log in.

The SD card data content will now be checked automatically over the active internet connection. On the left-hand side of the download
c
manager, you can see information about the latest SD card map status. On the right-hand side, you can see information about any pos-
sible map updates and the file size.
Upon request, you can now create a personal backup before the update. See "Settings: Garmin® MAP PILOT – Backup" quick guide

Click "Start update" to start the update process. You can follow the latest progress via the diagram that appears.

Once the update process is complete, you will see a corresponding message in the download manager.
c
The SD card can now be removed from the computer and used in the vehicle.
c
Should problems occur during the update process, please check if a virus scanner is active.
