After installing the push button panel, refer to paragraph 3.4 for instructions for
installing it to the motor and the electrical mains.
3.4 - Electrical system and connections
Caution! - Incorrect electric connection may cause serious injury. For this
reason, always strictly observe all instructions in this manual.
Important – Before proceeding read the following warnings:
• On the power line to the product, install a device for disconnection from the
power mains (plug-socket or other) with an opening distance between con-
tacts that assures complete disconnection in the conditions envisaged by
overvoltage category III in accordance with the rules of installation.
• Do not connect two or more motors to a single button or switch (parallel con-
nection).
• The buttons used to control Up and Down travel must NOT be pressed
simultaneously.
• The power plug must be accessible after installation
• This motor's power supply cable can only be replaced with another of the
same type supplied by the motor's producer.
• The Hirschmann STAK 3K socket can only be used with type STAS 3K plug
connectors manufactured by the Hirschmann Company.
To connect the motor to the push button control panel and the mains power
supply, refer to the diagram in fig. 7.
3.4.1 – "Parallel" control of two or more motors
If two or more EraMec Q motors are to be controlled using the same button or
switch, users must install the Nice TTE control unit or a two-pole switch. The
EraMec Q motor can also be connected to a bus control system.

PROGRAMMING THE TOP AND BOTTOM
LIMIT SWITCH POSITIONS
The EraMec Q motor incorporates two adjustable limit switches:
– The bottom limit switch position is preset in the factory. If the Venetian blind is
kept fully lowered during installation, no further programming of the bottom
limit switch position is required. The factory settings can be modified at any
moment.
– The top limit switch position can be set as appropriate as described below.
However, if users prefer not to programme this limit switch, the emergency
button (fig. 8 C) can be used as limit switch during use of the automation.
4.1 – Setting the top limit switch position
01. Give the venetian blind "up" command and stop the system when the
Venetian blind is about 30 cm from the top limit stop position required.
02. Press the black button (fig. 8 B).
03. Raise the Venetian blind until it reaches the top limit stop position required,
then stop the system.
04. Lower the Venetian blind until the black button is heard to click (this will
take about 6 seconds) then stop the system again. N.B. – When the but-
ton clicks, this indicates that the top limit switch has been programmed.
4.2 – Setting the bottom limit switch position
01. Give the Venetian blind "down" command and stop the system when the
Venetian blind is about 30 cm from the bottom limit stop position required.
02. Press the white button (fig. 8 A).
03. Lower the Venetian blind until it reaches the bottom limit stop position
required, then stop the system. Caution! – If the system is not stopped,
when the Venetian blind reaches the fully unwound position it will
automatically go into reverse and start rising again. In this case the
safety button (fig. 8 C) will not be tripped to stop the Venetian blind,
which may be damaged by collision with the top limit switch.
04. Raise the Venetian blind until the white button is heard to click (this will take
about 6 seconds) then stop the system again. N.B. – When the button
clicks, this indicates that the bottom limit switch has been programmed.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Once the limit switches have been programmed, the Venetian blind can be
operated by just pushing the button or switch. The Venetian blind will stop au-
tomatically when it reaches the limit position set.
• The buttons (or switches) used to control Up and Down travel must NOT be
pressed simultaneously.
• If the top limit switch has not bee programmed, the emergency button can be
used as limit switch during use of the automation. Caution! – This button only
stops the motor when it is turning in the Venetian blind raising direction.
