Maxi-Cosi Rubi general instructions
Warning: Do not make any changes to the
Maxi-Cosi Rubi whatsoever, as this could lead to
unsafe situations.
1. Y ou are personally responsible for the safety
of your child at all times.
2. N ever hold your child on your lap when
driving.
3. T he Maxi-Cosi Rubi is intended for car use
only.
4. D o not use second-hand products whose
history is unknown.
5. Replace the Maxi-Cosi Rubi after an accident.
6. Read this instruction manual carefully.
Maxi-Cosi Rubi in the car
Warning: Correct fitting of the car seat belt is
essential for the safety of your child. The car seat
belt must be installed following the red parts of
the Maxi-Cosi Rubi. NEVER fit the car seat belt in
a way other than described.
Warning: The Maxi-Cosi Rubi must only be
installed in the car in a forward-facing position.
Warning: Remove the headrest of the seat where
the Maxi-Cosi Rubi is to be used in the car if it is
in the way. Do not forget to put the headrest
back when the seat is used again.
1. U se the Maxi-Cosi Rubi only on a
forward-facing seat that is fitted with an
automatic or static 3-point belt that has been
approved according to the ECE R16 standard
or similar. Do NOT use a 2-point belt.
2. Verify that the car seat can be installed
properly in your car before purchasing it.
3. P ress the Maxi-Cosi Rubi firmly in the seat
before securing the car seat belt with the lock
off. Doing so improves stability.
4. Always fully install the Maxi-Cosi Rubi with
the car seat belt, even if there is no child in it.
