Operation

■ STARTING ENGINE
IMPORTANT
1. Rest the unit on a flat, firm place. Keep
the cutting head off the ground and
clear of surrounding objects as it will
start rotating upon starting of the
engine.
2. Pump the primer until fuel flows out in
the clear tube.
3. Move the choke lever upward to close
the choke.
(1) Choke lever

(3) OPEN
4. Shift the ignition switch to the START
position.
(1) Ignition switch
(2) START
(3) STOP
5. While pulling the throttle lever with the
little finger of your left hand, pull the
starter rope briskly.
NOTE
• Avoid pulling the rope to its end or
returning it by releasing the knob. Such
actions can cause starter failures.
6. When the engine has started, move
the choke lever gradually downward to
open the choke
7. Allow the engine to warm up for a half
minute before starting operation.
NOTE
1. When restarting the
immediately after stopping it, leave the
choke open.
2. Overchoking can make the engine
hard to start due to excess fuel. When
the engine fails to start after several
attempts, open the choke and repeat
pulling the rope, or remove the spark
plug and dry it.
■ STOPPING ENGINE
1. Release the throttle lever and run the
engine for half minute.
2. Shift the ignition switch to the STOP
position.

■ DEMARRAGE DU MOTEUR
IMPORTANT
1. Mettre l'appareil au repos sur un sol
plat et solide. Maintenir la tête de
coupe hors du sol et dégager les
objets environnants, car l'appareil va
commencer à tourner au démarrage
du moteur.
2. Pomper l'amorceur jusqu'à ce que
l'essence coule du tuyau clair.
3. Déplacer le levier du starter vers le
haut et fermer le starter.

(3) OUVRIR
4. Déplacer le contacteur d'allumage vers
la position START (démarrage).

(3) ARRET
5. Tout en tirant le levier de commande
des gaz avec le petit doigt gauche,
tirer brusquement la corde du starter.
REMARQUE
• Eviter de tirer la corde jusqu'au bout ou
de la retourner en relâchant le bouton.
De telles actions peuvent provoquer
des pannes du starter.
6. Lorsque le moteur a démarré, déplacer
le levier de commande des gaz
progressivement vers le bas et ouvrir
le starter.
7. Laisser le moteur s'échauffer pendant
une demie

REMARQUE
1. Lors du redémarrage du moteur
immédiatement après l'arrêt, laisser le
starter ouvert.
2. Un surétranglement peut provoquer un
démarrage difficile du moteur à cause
d'un excès d'essence. Lorsque le
moteur ne démarre pas après
plusieurs tentatives, ouvrir le starter et
tirer répétitivement la corde, ou enlever
la bougie et la sécher.
■ ARRET DU MOTEUR
1. Relâcher le levier de commande des
gaz et faire tourner le moteur pendant
une demie minute.
2. Déplacer le contacteur d'allumage vers
la position STOP.
