ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

TO ATTACH THE LEGS TO THE DISC:
1) Place the disc (B), top side down, on your work surface. (The top side is marked with indentations for attach-
ing the swivel later.) Spread glue evenly in each leg hole in the disc and a thin film of glue around the chuck
on the end of the leg. Put a leg (A) in each hole, as shown in FIGURE 1, and tap into place with a rubber
mallet or a hammer that has been padded.
TO ATTACH SPINDLES TO SEAT:
2) Spread glue evenly into the four center holes in the top of the seat (C). Insert chucked ends of the four back
spindles (F) into these holes, as shown in FIGURE 2.
TO ATTACH BACK AND BACK POSTS:
3) Spread glue evenly in the 2" oblong holes in the back posts (E). Put the back (D) and back posts (E) together
as shown in FIGURE 2. Spread glue thinly but evenly in the four holes in the bottom of the back (D) and in
the two outside holes in the seat. (Be careful not to use too much glue or it will ooze out onto the parts to
be finished.) One at a time, insert the back posts (E) into these holes while working the back spindles (F) into
holes in the back. Turn the back spindles (F) so that the flat portions follow the curve of the back (D). It may
be necessary to use a rubber mallet or hammer that has been padded to pound these pieces into place. It
is important that the shoulders of the back posts and spindles are in contact with the seat.
NOTE: The back posts (E) extend below the bottom of the seat when inserted; therefore, it is necessary to
extend the back over the edge of your work table or place something under the seat to raise it up.
