MAINTAINING
IMPORTANT! Before carrying out any operation on the chain saw,
disconnect the plug from the power supply.
- Tension the chain when necessary
- Bring the chain to a specialized workshop for maintenance and
sharpening as needed.
- Turn the bar 180° following extensive use and when the chain is
replaced in order to create uniform wear along the entire bar. In
models with the "no tools" chain tensioning, before turning the bar
180°, it is necessary to move the tensioning wheel (nr. 21) to the
opposite side of the bar, using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Lubricate or grease the ball bearings on the nose of the bar regularly.
- Keep the oil channels on the bar clean.
- Replace the chain when, after repeated sharpenings, the length of
the tooth has reached 3-4 mm or when the links are worn. (Chain
type: see technical data)
- Replace the bar if deformed or damaged. (Bar type: see technical
specifications)
Do not dispose of used oil with domestic waste, but take it to the
special Collection Centres.
