General
This device is versatile: for preserving, cooking, heating in a water bath, preparing hot drinks, blanching vege-
tables, etc.
Thick foods that are prone to burning must be heated slowly, stirring constantly.
If the unit cooks while it is empty, an additional safety switch will prevent overheating. Allow the device to
cool well before adding water again, otherwise there is a risk of burns from hot steam. It may also cause the
enamel surface may be damaged. At first use, an odour may occur which will disappear after a short period
of operation.
Capacity
The unit has a capacity of 20 litres. The liquid level can be filled to a maximum of 4 cm below the upper edge
of the housing.
Important instructions
For hygiene reasons, boil water in the device before first use.
For this purpose, fill the device with about 4 litres of water, set the thermostat to max., and switch on the de-
vice via the timer. To do so, turn the power switch clockwise to 60 minutes. After the set time, the appliance
will switch off automatically. After cooling, the device may be used.
