Connecting the cellular antenna
Screw the SMA connector of the antenna onto the designated SMA
socket on the device (see Figure 7: number 1).
Exceeding the maximum torque
The SMA connection could be damaged if the maximum torque is
exceeded.
Do not exceed the maximum torque of 0.6 Nm.
Do not tilt or twist the cable as you screw it on.
Connecting an external power supply
The Modem R version can be operated off-grid by means of external power
sources (e.g. photovoltaic module with built-in rechargeable battery).
The device needs a maximum of 45 W. The photovoltaic module and the
rechargeable battery must be sized to suit local conditions.
For initial commissioning at ground level, Narda offers a power supply unit
for connecting the device to the grid.
Mounting the DC coupler
The waterproof DC coupler is mounted on the connector of the power cable.
Precise alignment of the DC connection is achieved by the notch in the
housing.
Connection of external power sources
Incorrect connection of external power sources could damage the
Outdoor Unit and the external power source.
Before you attempt to establish the connection, also refer to the safety
information issued by the manufacturer of the external power source.
