ASSEMBLY
Some bikes may have progressive retention washers instead of the retention washer (drawn with a
dashed outline). If so, install the retention washer with raised part gradually sliding it between the legs
of the fork.
4. Put the axle nut and tighten. Make sure that the wheel is centred between the legs of the fork.
5. Spin the wheel to make sure it is centred and does not clash on the brake pads.
Squeeze the brakes if necessary.
6. Put the bike in an upright position using the stand for support.
It is very important to inspect the front wheel of the bike. If not tightened properly, it is possible that the
front wheel can break loose.

To assemble or adjust the brakes, make sure that the fastener of the cable is stiff. If the nut is not tight-
ened securely, it may cause a brake failure and, consequently, injuries.
V-BRAKES
1. If your bike is equipped with V-brakes, insert the brake body into the centre hole of the spring in the
hub assembly of the frame and then secure the brake body to the chassis with the screw.
2. While holding the pad against the rim, adjust the degree of protuberance of the pad, alternating the
position of the B washers (6 mm or 3 mm) so that the dimension A is kept to 39mm or more.

side of the hand that has more strength. It is important to fa-
miliarize yourself with the use of hand brakes. When adjusted
properly, these brakes are an efficient braking system. Always

Unscrew the nut of the cable and insert the brake cable through
it. Tighten the nut by hand until you put the cable in place.
Squeeze the brake arms at the same time, against the wheel
rim. Loosen the nuts of the brake pads and rotate them until
