NOTA. La protezione dell'alimentato-
re contro sovraccarichi e cortocircuiti è
ottenuta elettronicamente anzichè me-
diante fusibili; per ripristinare il normale
funzionamento, in caso d'interruzione,
bisogna:
a) togliere l'alimentazione;
b) eliminare le cause dell'arresto;
c) far raffreddare l'alimentatore per al-
meno un minuto;
d) ricollegare l'apparecchio.

La chiamata proveniente dal posto
esterno è caratterizzata da una nota
bitonale.
Funzionamento intercomunicante
Per chiamare gli apparecchi dello stes-
so gruppo intercomunicante, alzare la
cornetta, premere il pulsante • (il se-
gnale di chiamata è una nota a tono
continuo) e attendere la comunicazio-
ne. La conversazione interna non può
essere sentita all'esterno.

Per scrivere il nome sul cartellino ri-
muovere il coperchietto trasparente
(fig. 19).
All'interno della confezione è disponi-
bile anche un cartellino per impianti a
due abitazioni (fig. 20).
SMALTIMENTO
Assicurarsi che il materiale d'imballag-
gio non venga disperso nell'ambiente,
ma smaltito seguendo le norme vigen-
ti nel paese di utilizzo del prodotto.
Alla fine del ciclo di vita dell'appa-
recchio evitare che lo stesso venga
disperso nell'ambiente.
Lo smaltimento dell'apparecchiatura
deve essere effettuato rispettando le
norme vigenti e privilegiando il rici-
claggio delle sue parti costituenti.
Sui componenti, per cui è previsto
lo smaltimento con riciclaggio, sono
riportati il simbolo e la sigla del
materiale.

These instructions must remain at-
tached to the receiver.
Attention.
Before installing the equipment, care-
fully read the "SAFETY WARNINGS".
SAFETY WARNINGS
Read the following warnings care-
fully as they provide important in-
structions regarding the safe use,
installation and maintenance of the
equipment.
• After having removed the packa-
ging, make sure that the equipment
is intact.
• The system must be installed in com-
pliance with current safety Standards.
• To avoid injury, the equipment must
be secured to the wall according to
the installation instructions.
• Up the line from the audio/video
entry control system, it is necessary
to install a bi-polar mains switch.
• The audio/video entry control in-
ternal extension and the power
supplier must not be exposed to
water splashes or seepage.
• Before connecting the equip-
ment, make sure that the rating
plate data corresponds to that of
the distribution network.
• This equipment should, like all the
system equipment, be used only
for the purpose it was explicitly de-
signed for; any other type of use is
improper and dangerous.
• The manufacturer is exempt from
any liability or damage as a result of
improper, incorrect or unreasonable
use of this equipment.
• Before performing any cleaning or
maintenance to the device, discon-
nect the power supply by opening
the system switch.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Intercom kit for single or double resi-
dences. The kit is capable of making up
to two calls whilst maintaining secrecy
of speech and provides an intercom
facility between the two systems. This
can be expanded to a maximum of 4
handsets.
The system is composed of:

ARW2 Handset
The handset is composed of a wall unit
with receiver (fig. 1).
AEPW2 Entry panel
The entry panel is a wall unit with a
single button capable of calling two
residences (fig.1).
A green LED illuminates the button and
a sound confirms a call has been made.
There are two potentiometers (fig. 2):
P1 ( ), to regulate the microphone
level,
P2 ( ), to regulate the speaker level.
It is possible to connect a lock to the
system which may be 12Vac or 12 V
DC max 0.5 A.
It is always advisable to mount the
panel in a sheltered position.
Power supplier APSW2
This consists of a transformer with a
power of 9 VA.
It is equipped with a rectifier that pro-
vides output voltage at 18 V DC, elec-
tronically protected against overloads

A single power supply is provided for
systems connected to the terminals
+ e L– of the entry panel or the in-
tercom.
WARNING
The system operates at a very low sa-
fety voltage (15÷18 V DC): it must not
be connected to a higher voltage.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY
ARW2 Handset
Fix the back plate directly to the wall
(fig. 3) or to the recessed mounting
box (fig. 4 and fig. 5) using the fixings
provided.
For a surface mount cable follow the
instructions in figure 6.
Avoid excessive tightening of screws
on walls that are not perfectly flat. Af-
ter making the connections (fig. 7) (see
"INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTION"),
place the audio entry control on the
metal support as shown in figure 8.
To remove the unit from the bracket
use a screwdriver in the slot of the
cabinet (see fig. 9).
AEPW2 Entry Panel
Follow the instructions in fig. 10 to
remove the front plate.
Remove the cable grip (fig. 11).
WARNING. Were cables come
through the wall they must enter
the unit through the cable entry
point as per fig. 12.
Fix the back plate directly to the wall
(fig. 13) using the fixings provided.
After making the connections (see "IN-
STRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTION") put
the cable-grip plate back in place.
Ensure the front panel is correctly
located as per fig. 14 and then se-
cure it.
APSW2 Power supplier
The unit can be installed in boxes with
DIN rail (EN 50022).
For overall dimensions see fig. 15.
The unit can also be installed against
the wall using the two provided plastic
tabs (fig. 16).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTION
WARNING
Do not open or tamper with the uni-
ts; live voltage is present in them.
For connections, refer to the diagrams
in figure 21÷25.
This is a two wire system using two
polarized conductors.
The following cables can be used:
- twisted pair;
- symmetrical pair cable,
- intercom cable.
