• The system must be installed in com-
pliance with current safety Standards.
• To avoid injury, the equipment must
be secured to the wall according to
the installation instructions.
• The power supply for this system
should be connected to a 230 volts
A/C fuse spur.
• The audio/video entry control in-
ternal extension and the power
supplier must not be exposed to
water splashes or seepage.
• Ensure power supply requirements
comply with the main supply voltage.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
VRW201 Video entry control
system
The video entry control unit is com-
posed of a wall-mounted unit equipped
with a receiver and monitor (fig.1).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY
VRW201 Video entry control system
Fix the socket directly to the wall
(fig. 2), or in the built-in box (fig. 3
or 4) using the provided screws and
plugs.
If the cables arrive from a duct outside
the wall, run the cable through at the
arrows as shown in figure 5.
Avoid excessive tightening of screws
on walls that are not perfectly flat.
After making the connections (fig. 6)
(see "INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNEC-
TION/CONFIGURATION"), place the
video entry control on the metal sup-
port as shown in figure 7.
To remove the unit from the bracket
use a screwdriver in the slot (see fig.
8).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR
CONNECTION/CONFIGURATION
WARNING
Do not open or tamper with the
units; there is high voltage inside.
For connections, refer to the diagrams
in figure 10÷12.

Function of jumpers (fig. 9) (Tab. 2)
JP1 Jumper
(Selection of MASTER/SLAVE-video
switch of three video entry controls
with simultaneous calls)
Normally supplied inserted. Remove
jumper JP1 to make the extension the
SLAVE.
During simultaneous calls only the
MASTER monitor is activated and all
the extensions ring simultaneously.
Press the key (entry panel activation) to
activate the SLAVE video without acti-
vating
the audio; otherwise pick
up the receiver to enable video and
audio.

call - only one monitor can be a
MASTER (JP1 jumper inserted).
Jumper JP1will have to be removed
in the other monitors (SLAVE
mode).
JP2 Jumper (fig. 11)
(selection of intercommunicating
system)
It is normally supplied inserted thus
the video entry control is assigned to
call system A. Remove jumper JP2 to
configure the video entry control with
call system B.
JP3 Jumper
(call selection)
It is normally supplied inserted thus
the video entry control is assigned
to call system 1. Remove jumper JP3
to configure the video entry control
with call system 2. Make sure that the
JP4 jumper in the entry panel is also
disconnected (see table 2 and connec-
tion diagrams).
Function of jumper SW1
(Resistive video line load termination)
The unit is equipped with an SW1
jumper (fig. 6), for the end of line clo-
sure impedance.
Remove the jumper if the line contin-
ues towards the other internal exten-
sions.
Leave the jumper inserted in the last
video entry control extension.
If the ARW201 audio entry control ex-
tension is used, it must be connected
before the last video extension.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
In case of damage, modifications
or interventions on system devices
(power supplier, etc.) request help
from specialized professionals.
VRW201 video entry control system
The unit has three buttons for the fol-
lowing controls (fig. 1):
Door lock release
Entry panel video activation (NO
AUDIO)
Auxiliary services/Intercom
And of the following controls (fig. 1):
Brightness control
Contrast control
Call volume control/Mute
Call volume control (Mute mode)
A call from the external unit is charac-
terized by a two-tone sound.
Three ring modes can be selected via
the switch in the video entry control
system (fig.1).
- High volume. The switch is in the up
position.
- Low volume. The switch is in the mid-
dle position.
- Mute. The switch is in the down posi-
tion and the red LED is on.
With the switch in this position, during
a call, only the video is activated while
the ring is switched off.
Operation of auxiliary key
The auxiliary services control can be
used to activate, by means of suitable
devices that are not included in the
kit, auxiliary functions such as stairway
lights, additional openings and relays
at low voltage.
With no auxiliary services connected
it only works for intercommunication
(see the paragraph on intercom opera-
tion). With auxiliary services connected,
the service will be activated when the
key is pressed .
Intercommunicating
operating
mode
With no communication active, to call
units of the same intercommunicating
system, lift the receiver, push the but-
ton (the call signal is a note with a
continuous tone) and wait for the con-
nection. Internal conversation cannot
be heard on the outside.
During communication, pressing the
button will activate the operation of
auxiliary services.
DISPOSAL
Do not litter the environment with
packaging material: make sure it is
disposed of according to the regula-
tions in force in the country where the
product is used.
When the equipment reaches the end
of its life cycle, avoid discarding in the
environment.
The equipment must be disposed of in
compliance with current regulations,
recycling its component parts wher-
ever possible.
