NOTE: The Husky HD Roller is to be used only on 5th wheel trailers which
weigh 26,000 lbs. or less. Never use on heavier trailers. You will need to dis-
assemble the uprights from your current 5th wheel to install the Husky HD
Roller. The Husky HD Roller takes the place of those uprights.
Caution: The Husky HD Roller will reposition your 5th wheel 10"
rearward.
HOWEVER: This will NOT guarantee complete truck cab/trailer clearance
when towing & making sharp turns.

Instructions provide important operating and safety information for proper
usage of this product. Demonstrate the proper use of the product with the end
user. Have the end user demonstrate that they understand the proper use of
the product.
Read and follow all instructions included in this manual. Ask your Dealer /
Installer for assistance if you do not understand the proper use of the product.
Never remove any decals from the product.

  • Página 4 Center Bolt hole locations Install the Husky Center Bolt kit using the parts provided in this kit. Locate the center hole in each base rail. See Figure 1. Using these holes as a guide, drill a 5/8” hole through the truck bed. BE SURE THERE ARE NOT ANY FUEL TANKS, FUEL OR BRAKE LINES OR ANY other obstructions below the bed BEFORE drilling.
  • Página 5 Install the Rollers in the Base Rails of the vehicle. The Rollers must be equal distance from the center line of the Base Rail, installed on the correct side of the vehicle and be facing in the direction shown below. Secure the Roller Assemblies to the Base Rails with 4 Hitch Pins and Hair Pins (not included).
  • Página 6 Top Hole Driver’s Side Shown Maneuver Towing Position Position Slide both Roller Housings toward the front of the vehicle. Apply grease to the areas shown on the Locking Bar as shown. Slide the Locking Bar into the top hole of the Passenger’s Side Roller. Rotate the Locking Bar so the Lock Pin will be in the Towing Position hole of the Roller.

  • Página 8 Compress the Spring slightly, and place it, and the 7/8” Washer, between the Coupler Bar and Driver’s Side Roller as shown. Align the Spring and Washer over the hole in the Roller and the Coupler Lock Bar. Lock Handle Apply grease here 10.
  • Página 9 11. Install the 3/8” Hex Head Bolt and 3/8” Nylock Nut. Torque to 30 ft. lbs. You may now install the crossmember and 5 wheel hitch head.   • Página 10 Once the 5 wheel crossmember and hitch head are attached, pull the grab handle out and rotate it into the maneuvering position holes. The Husky HD Roller should move smoothly fore and aft on the rails and automatically lock into position.
  • Página 11 The Lock Pins must fully engage into the Roller Housing when the hitch is in the Towing or Maneuver position.   • Página 13 Pull grab handle out and rotate counter clockwise to place both latch pins in rear holes. Set trailer brakes and slowly drive tow vehicle forward until the Husky HD Roller stops with the latch pins in the rear locked position. Both the grab handle and locking bar latch pins should be engaged in both rear most holes to completely lock the Husky HD Roller in place.
  • Página 14 Pull grab handle out and rotate clock wise to place latch pins in front holes. Set trailer brakes and slowly drive tow vehicle rearward until the Husky HD Roller stops with the latch pins in the front locked position. Both the grab handle and locking bar latch pins should be engaged in both front most holes to completely lock the Husky HD Roller in place.

  • Página 16 Lubrication The moving parts of the hitch require regular lubrication. (Every 3 to 6 months). Particular attention should be paid to the Slide Arm, Cam Track, Jaw Pivot and Sensor Mechanism. (As shown in the sketch) For best use apply Grease liberally to all moving surfaces including Pivot Pin holding the Head and Yoke to the Cross Beam.

  • Página 25 Comprima suavemente los resortes y ubíquelos, junto a la Arandela 7/8’’, entre la Barra acopladora y el Cilindro del lado del conductor, como se muestra abajo. Alinee los resortes y las arandelas sobre el agujero del cilindro y la Barra Acolpadora.
  • Página 26 11. Instale los Tornillos Hexagonales 3/8’’ y las Tuercas Hexagonales 3/8’’ de Torque hasta 30 libras. Ahora puede instalar el travesaño y el pasador de la 5 rueda.   • Página 28 Los pines de bloqueo deben unirse en la posición del Cilindro Central cuando el enganche se encuentre en la posición de Remolque o de Maniobras. La barra de bloqueo del lado del pasajero debe estar en contacto con el cilindro central para tener la correcta interacción de piezas.
  • Página 29 Intente mover el enganche delantero nuevamente. Repita hasta que el movimiento sea el correcto. Recuerde volver a imprimir el torque en los tornillos aflojados. Una vez que todo encaje y funcione, su Cilindro Husky HD estará listo para su uso.
  • Página 30 Ponga los frenos del camión y maneje lentamente el vehículo de remolque hacia adelante hasta que el Cilindro Husky HD se detenga con los enganches en la posición trasera de bloqueo. Tanto la manija como las barras de bloqueo deben estar unidas en los agujeros traseros para ubicar correctamente al Cilindro Husky HD en su lugar.
  • Página 31 Presione los frenos y maneje lentamente el vehículo de remolque hacia atrás hasta que el Cilindro Husky HD se detenga con los pines de enganche en las posiciones frontales. Tanto la manija como la barra de bloqueo deben encontrarse en los agujeros frontales para ubicar el Cilindro Husky HD en su lugar.

    El enganche no debería cerrarse inmediatamente, si se cierra inmediatamente, el mismo es defectuoso y debe ser reparado o reemplazado.     Lubricación Las partes movedizas del enganche requieren continua lubricación (cada 3 a 6 meses). El Brazo deslizante, Se debe prestar especial atención al brazo deslizante, a la pista de levas, al pivote de la mandíbula y al sensor mecanismo del. (Como se muestra en el dibujo) Para un mejor uso, aplique el lubricante a toda la superficie incluyendo el Pin del Pívot, levantando la Cabeza y el Yugo de la Viga Transversal.
