5 Before switching on the appliance

5.1 Installation / replacing the filter

The appliance in its basic form is delivered with one filter. Before switching on the appliance for
the first time it is necessary to first remove the filter from its packaging:

Disconnect the power cord from the
mains.
Carefully remove the air intake grill
from the back cover by pulling on the
upper notch

Then, re-install the grill with the pre-
filter for air intake.

Remove the filter from its plastic bag and reinsert
in the appliance so that the white layer of the
folded HEPA filter is pointing away from the
appliance.

Now the appliance is ready for use. Repeat the
procedure also when replacing an old filter for
a new one. Average service life (depending on
air pollution) of the filter in normal use
(approx. 8 hours/day) is approximately 8–12
months.
