7 Control instructions

Make sure the input voltage requirements comply with the values given on the technical
nameplate on the appliance. Check whether the filter has been removed from its plastic
packaging and that the air intake rear cover with the pre-filter is properly in place (if not,
do not operate the appliance). Never use the appliance without an inserted filter.
Insert the power cord plug in a properly protected socket. The control lights on the control
panel will temporarily flash. The appliance is in standby mode. To conserve energy, the air
quality reader is not active in this mode.

7.1 Starting the unit, UV and air quality indication

Press the ON/OFF button to switch the appliance on and off. The fan will start turning and
the appliance begin purifying the air. At the same the UV lamp will come on, which uses a
photovoltaic filter to break down biological material, thus sterilizing the purifier. The lamp
will continue to operate for 30 minutes and, when the purifier is kept constantly running,
again for 30 minutes every 24 hours. If the appliance is switched off in the meantime, the
timer function is erased and the UV will again run for 30 minutes when the unit is
restarted. For safety reasons the rear cover is fitted with a magnetic sensor which switches
off the entire unit if the cover is opened.
Also activated when the unit starts is the intelligent air quality sensor, which re quires
about 30 seconds to heat up and be calibrated. In this period, the air quality indicator on
the front of the appliance will display no values (" - -"). Once the 30 seconds have expired,
the sensor will start detecting particles in the air and will display the current values on the
front panel:
