General description

Thank you for choosing the Geratherm active control+ blood pressure monitor.
®
Before using your device for the first time, please read this instruction manual carefully.
This blood pressure monitor uses the oscillometric method of measuring the systolic and diastolic
blood pressure and the heart rate. The measurements are taken at the upper arm and all values
appear on an LCD display screen.
This blood pressure monitor complies with the standards for medical devices. The blood pressure
monitor can be used by adults with an arm circumference of 22 cm to 42 cm.
The Geratherm active control+ is intended for the non-invasive measuring and monitoring of arte-
®
rial blood pressure. It is not intended for use on extremities other than the arm or for any function
other than measuring blood pressure.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage caused by improper use or failure to comply
with the safety instructions in the instruction manual.
MEDICAL CONTRAINDICATIONS

Consult a doctor before using the device if you are pregnant, have electrical device implants (e.g.
pace maker, defibrillators), suffer from pre-eclampsia, atrial fibrillation, peripheral arterial diseases,
have received intravascular therapy or had a mastectomy.
Do not use the device if you are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant. As well as the pos-
sibility of inaccurate measurement results, it is not known what effects the device might have on the
foetus.
