• READ and become familiar with this entire instruction manual. LEARn the tool's applications,
limitations, and possible hazards.
• AVOID DAngEROUS COnDITIOnS. DO nOT use in wet or damp areas or expose to rain.
• DO NOT use in the presence of flammable liquids or gases.
• KEEP bYSTAnDERS AT A SAfE DISTAnCE. nEVER allow children near the tool.
• DRESS fOR SAfETY. DO nOT wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties, or jewellery (rings,
watches, etc.) when operating tool. Loose clothing can get caught and pull you into moving
parts.
• ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTIOn.
• ALWAYS remove the power cord plug from the electric outlet when making adjustments,
changing parts, or cleaning.
• AVOID ACCIDEnTAL START-UPS. Make sure the power switch is in the Off position before
plugging in the power cord.
• DO nOT abuse the power cord. Do not use it to carry the tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil,
sharp edges, or moving parts. Replace damaged cords immediately; they may create a shock
or fire hazard.
• nEVER LEAVE A RUnnIng TOOL UnATTEnDED. Turn the power switch to Off. Do not leave
the tool until it has come to a complete stop.
• DO nOT OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
• DISCOnnECT TOOLS. Disconnect tools from their power supplies when not in use, prior to
servicing and when changing accessories such as blades, etc.
• Keep all safety devices in place.
• Know locations and functions of all controls. When using electric gardening appliances, basic
safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and
personal injury, including the following:
• Dress Properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that can get caught in moving parts.
The wearing of protective gloves and safety footwear is recommended. Wear protective hair
covering to contain long hair.
• ground fault Circuit Interrupter (gfCI) protection should be provided on the circuit(s) or
outlet(s) that will be used. Outlets with built-in gfCI protection are available, and may be used
as an added safety measure.
• Use Right Appliance. Do not use appliance for any job except that for which it is intended.
