• Connection cover (3)
Position the connection cover (2) as shown
in the drawing and fit the nut (3).
• Connections
Already installed are the hose connections
(connections) for:
- filling (4),
- venting (5), 16 mm diameter
- watersupply (6), 13 mm diameter
• Sender for fuel level gauge
If desired, remove the cover (7) and install a
sender for the tank level gauge; always ap-
ply the gasket.
2 4 Connecting the tank
Connect up the tank with good quality rein-
forced hose. Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the
hose. The reinforced hose must be of qual-
ity suitable for drinking water and resistant to
a temperature of at least 60 degrees C and a
pressure of 400 kPa (4 bar, 58 psi).
Vetus supplies a hose suitable for tap water. It is
tasteless, non-poisonous, resistant to tempera-
tures from -5 to +65 degrees C (+23 to +149
degrees F) and has a working pressure of 1500
kPa (15 bar) 16 mm. dia. (215 psi - 5∕8" dia.) and
800 kPa (8 bar) - 38 mm. dia. (116 psi - 11∕2")

Fit each hose connection with a good hose
clamp.

• Filler cap
Fit the filler cap (8).
• Filler hose
Install a filler hose (9), 38 mm (11∕2") inter-
nal diameter, between the filler cap and
the tank. Instal this hose in such a way that
neither tank nor filler cap are subject to me-
chanical loads.
• Breather nipple
Fit air-relief nipple (10) as high as possible
above the level of the top of the tank. En-
sure that the air-relief nipple is fitted where
it cannot fill with rain or other water and at
least 40 cm above the waterline.
• Vent hose
Fit air-relief pipe (11), 16 mm (5∕8") internal
diameter, between air-relief nipple and the
tank.
