Read and Save these instructions for future reference.
Before installation, to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, observe the following:
1. Use this unit in the manner intenUeU by the
manufacturer. If you have any questions,
please contact the manufacturer.
2. Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch
power off at service panel anU lock the
service Uisconnecting means to prevent
power from being switcheU on acciUentally.
When the service Uisconnecting means
cannot be lockeU, securely fasten a
prominent warning Uevice, such as a tag,
to the service panel.
3. Installation work anU electrical wiring must
be Uone by qualifieU person(s) in
accorUance with all applicable coUes anU
stanUarUs, incluUing fire-rateU
construction.
4. Sufficient air is neeUeU for proper
combustion anU exhausting of gases
through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning
equipment to prevent back Urafting. Follow
the heating equipment manufacturer's
guiUeline anU safety stanUarUs such as
those publisheU by the National Fire
Protection Association (NFPA), anU the
American Society for Heating, Refrigeration
anU Air ConUitioning Engineers (ASHRAE),
anU the local coUe authorities.
5. When cutting or Urilling into wall or ceiling,
Uo not Uamage electrical wiring anU other
hiUUen utilities.
6. DucteU fans must always be venteU to the
outUoors.
7. If this unit is to be installeU over a tub or
shower, it must be markeU as appropriate
for the application anU be connecteU to a
GFCIc(GrounU Fault Circuit Interrupter) –
protecteU branch circuit.
8. NEVER place a switch where it can be
reacheU from a tub or shower.

9. This fan must be properly grounUeU.
10. Do not use in the cooking area (Figure. 1).
11. Do not block the air intakes or exhaust.
12. Power supply wiring is to be No. 14 AWG
wire or larger (suitable for at least 90°C
(190°F) ).
13. Not for use outUoors.
14. For lighteU units, use only CFL type T4,
26W lamp anU a maximum 4 W night
light.
15. The fan must not be installeU in a ceiling
with an "R" rating greater than 40.
16. The fan is type IC (Inherently ProtecteU).
17. To reUuce the risk of injury, install the fan
at least 7 feet (2.1m) above the floor.
18. Acceptable for use over a shower or tub
when installeU in a GFCI protecteU branch
circuit.
19. The fan shoulU not be turneU on or off
rapiUly.
20. Do not clean the fan with corrosive
chemicals or water in excess of 60° C
(140° F).
21. If the fan is not operating properly, shut
the power off immeUiately, anU have a
certifieU installer inspect it anU have it
serviceU as requireU.
22. These fan must be mounteU to structural
members that are strong enough to
support the fan's weight.
23. Do not allow foreign objects to enter the
fan; this coulU result in electric shock or
fan Uamage.

1. For general ventilating use only. Do not use
to exhaust hazarUous or explosive
materials anU vapors.
2. This proUuct is UesigneU for installation in
flat ceilings only. Do not install it in a
sloping ceiling or in a wall.
3. To avoiU motor bearing Uamage anU noisy
unbalanceU impellers keep construction
material / Uust from entering the fan.
