1. Safety Guidelines

1. Follow the installation instructions.
2. Use the appliance
• according to its intended use
• in good condition
• with due regard to safety and risk of danger.
3. Note that the appliance is exclusively for use in the appli-
cations detailed in these installation instructions. Any
other use will not be considered to comply with require-
ments and would invalidate the warranty.
4. Please take note that any assembly, commissioning,
servicing and adjustment work may only be carried out by
authorized persons.
5. Immediately rectify any malfunctions which may influence
safety.

2. Application

For pressure reducing valves in the following
appliances:
• D06F, D06FH, D160, SG160D, SG160SD, ICS06, VF06,
SK164D, HS10, HS10S, HV20D, FK08, FK09, FK09S,
FK76C, FKN76C, FK76CS, FKN76CS, FK06, FK74C,
FKN74C, FK74CS and FKN74CS

3. Assembly

3.1. Assembly instructions
1. Close shutoff valve on inlet
• For the VF06, shut off the connection to the heating
system and disconnect hose connection between water
supply and filling armature.
2. Release pressure on outlet side (e.g. through water tap)
3. Close shutoff valve on outlet
4. Loosen slotted screw
• Do not remove slotted screw
5. Slacken tension in compression spring
• Turn adjustment handle counter clockwise (-) until it
does not move any more
Caution !
There is a spring in the spring bonnet. It may cause inju-
ries if the spring is derailing.
• Make sure tension in compression spring is slak-
kened!
6. Unscrew spring bonnet
• Use double ring wrench ZR06K
7. Remove slip ring
8. Remove valve insert with a pair of pliers
9. Unscrew filter bowl
• Use double ring wrench ZR06K
Only applicable for D06F, D06FH, D164, SG160D,
SG160SD, FK08, FK09, FK09S
10. Unscrew filter cup and guide piece
• Use double ring wrench ZR06K
Only applicable for FK74C, FKN74C
11. Remove slotted ring
12. Check that sealing ring, edge of nozzle and slotted ring
are in good condition, and if necessary replace the entire
valve insert

13. On the VF06: Assembly of valve insert, slip ring and
slotted ring or O-ring.
Press in diaphragm with finger before inserting slip ring
14. Screw in spring bonnet.
• Use double ring wrench ZR06K
15. Screw in filter bowl with double ring wrench until it
reaches the stop.
• Use double ring wrench ZR06K
16. Slowly open shutoff valve on inlet
17. Set desired outlet pressure (e.g. 4 bar)
If the outlet pressure is to be set to a lower value, the
pressure on the outlet side must first be relieved before
the required setting can be achieved.
18. Retighten slotted screw
19. Slowly open shutoff valve on outlet
3.2. Assembly instructions (FK74CS, FKN74CS
only)
1. Close shutoff valve on inlet
2. Release pressure on outlet side (e.g. through water tap)
3. Close shutoff valve on outlet
4. Slacken tension in compression spring
• Lift adjustment handle
• Screw out internal adjustment screw by turning the
adjustment handle to the stop
Caution !
There is a spring in the spring bonnet. It may cause inju-
ries if the spring is derailing.
• Make sure tension in compression spring is slak-
kened!
5. Loosen cover cap with a screw driver
6. Pull out the adjustment handle
7. Unscrew spring bonnet
• Use plastic wrench ZR74CS
8. Remove slip ring
9. Remove valve insert with a pair of pliers
10. Unscrew filter cup and guide piece
• Use plastic wrench ZR74CS
11. Remove slotted ring
12. Check that sealing ring, edge of nozzle and slotted ring
are in good condition, and if necessary replace the entire
valve insert
13. Reassemble in reverse order
Press in diaphragm with finger before inserting slip ring
Screw in spring bonnet with spring, setting screw and
spring plate (30Nm)
Screw in filter bowl hand-tight (without tools)
14. Set outlet pressure
