19. Tighten the belt tightener sprocket nut [11]. Driving torque: 23-28 Nm.
20. Remove the timing and locking tools.
21. Mount the oil pump housing bolt.
22. Mount the closing cap back [9].
23. Mount the other component parts in the reverse order compared to the
disassembly order.
24. Tighten the driving shaft pulley bolts [2]. Driving torque: 23-28 Nm.
25. Tighten the following:
a.
Right engine support bracket bolts [7]. Driving torque: 45-55 Nm.
b. Right engine support nut and bolts [4] and [5]. Driving torque: 50-60 Nm.
Checking JTS Timing
1. Tool A456 for determining the correct position of the camshaft.
2. Remove the air filter housing, the suction pipe and the ventilation pipe of
the engine.
3. Discharge fuel pressure and disconnect the fuel pipes, the evaporator and
the ignition module.
4. Disconnect the wiring and cooling terminal, to remove the timing cover.
5. Remove the accessory service belt and turn the driving shaft carefully, in
normal direction of engine rotation to TDC n°. 4 cylinder.
NB: The lobes of both camshafts should be turned upwards.
6. Position tool A456 using the two M6 screws screwed on it.
7. Push both positioning pins, fitting them into the relevant camshaft pulley
holes. If they cannot be positioned, the timing procedure will have to be
carried out.
JTS Timing
1. When the timing chain or balancing shaft chain or the sprockets or tighte-
ners have to be removed, the timing procedure will have to be carried out.
2. Set the TDC to n°. 4 cylinder (the lobes of both camshafts should be turned
upwards).
3. Position tool A456 using the two M6 screws screwed on it.
4. Push both positioning pins, fitting them into the relevant camshaft pulley
holes.
5. Remove the upper chain slide and the chain tightener.
