TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
• Unit does not turn on
• Power indicator light stays red and does not
turn green
• Humidifi er is not putting out enough vapor.
• Strange smell coming from unit
• Water is leaking from unit
• White dust appears on surfaces near humidifi er. •
SOLUTION
•
Check that unit is plugged in and outlet has
power.
•
Check that unit is turned on.
•
Check that unit has water. Refi ll tank.
•
Verify tank cap is secured tightly and water
tank is positioned correctly on base.
•
Insuffi cient water in tank. Refi ll tank.
•
Ensure unit is on level surface, not inclined.
•
Check that water tank is installed onto base
correctly.
•
Check that knob is set at correct level.
•
Make sure oscillator is not damaged
•
The humidifi er may be growing bacteria.
Clean unit according to maintenance
instructions.
•
Oscillator may be dirty. Unplug unit and clea
oscillator as described on page 7.
•
The water cap is not securely tightened.
•
The water tank is not situated correctly on
the base.The unit has been moved or jostled,
allowing water to spill.
Order part AU5003PK.and install demineral-
ization cartridge on unit.
•
If it continues, change to fi ltered or distilled
water.
