when installing hitch
1. Remove Fascia and Taillights:
a.) Using a 10mm socket, remove (6) screws from bottom of fascia.
b.) Using a flat screw driver, remove (5) plastic push rivets from each wheel well by prying the center pin out of each rivet. Using a fork shaped trim panel tool under head of each rivet,
gently remove the rivets. NOTE: Two (2) of the rivets are behind the wheel well liner.
c.) Using an 8mm socket, remove (1) screw located vertically in the upper area behind the wheel well liner, (1) per side.
d.) Open trunk to remove taillights. Using a flat screw driver, remove (2) plastic hooks by prying the center pin out of the hook, (1) per side, see figure 2. Remove (2) small panels covering
the taillight wiring. Gently pull the interior trunk liner away from the taillight area to expose the mounting hardware. Using an 8mm socket, remove (3) hex nuts holding the taillight, both
sides. Using a 10mm socket, remove (1) hex nut holding the upper area of the fascia near the trunk opening, both sides. Disconnect the wiring harness from the taillights. Using a trim
panel tool, gently remove the taillights by pulling rearward and set aside.
e.) Using a plastic trim panel tool, remove the plastic fascia starting at the outer edges near the wheel wells, gently pulling the fascia.
2. Remove bumper beam:
a.) using a 10mm socket, remove the side heat shields by removing (2) screws per heat shield.
b.) Using a 3/8, 12 point or E12 external torx socket, remove (2) screws from rear exhaust hanger, rotate hanger down to allow access to the outer (2) bumper beam attachments, both sides.
c.) Using a 16mm socket, remove (4) outer flange nuts from bumper beam, (2) per side. Open the trunk floor to access and remove the (4) inside flange nuts behind the trunk liner.
d.) Remove the bumper beam and set it aside.

exhaust fumes. See figure 3. Place the hitch onto the bumper beam aligning holes in hitch with studs on bumper beam. Raise hitch and bumper beam onto vehicle aligning studs in
bumper with holes in end panel. Loosely reinstall the (8) M10 flange nuts onto studs on bumper beam, (4) per side. See figure 1.
4. Tighten all M10 fasteners with torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M).
Trim fascia panel - using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, cut a notch in the fascia panel approximately 6-1/4" wide x 1-5/8" deep, centered as shown. See figure 4.

6. Reinstall exhaust hangers and side heat shields.
Reinstall fascia, taillights, and wiring using the original hardware removed in step 1. Be sure to reconnect wiring to taillights.

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety
specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
