1. Lower Muffler – Lower muffler by removing the rubber hangers (4 or
5 depending on year). NOTE: A spray a lubricant on rubber hangers
makes them slide off metal pins more easily. NOTE: Be careful that
exhaust is supported before removing rubber hangers.
3. Install Fasteners –
NOTE: On some vehicles, the holes may need to be enlarged prior to the installation of the fasteners. On the rear most hole use
a ½ inch drill bit to enlarge the hole. On the forward most hole use a 1/4 inch drill bit and a file to enlarge the hole (see figure 4).
