1.
Support the exhaust and remove exhaust from hangers so exhaust can be lowered out of the way.

Remove the plastic fascia brackets (return to owner) shown in Figure 1. and the exhaust heat shield cover hardware, so shield can move freely
above the exhaust.
3.
Remove the four (2 per side) lower M10 nuts from the bumper brackets (do not discard).
4.
Raise the hitch into position with side brackets installed on the bumper bracket bolts and loosely reinstall the M10 nuts removed in step 4.
Raise the forward end of the hitch to the cross member under the car. Place bolt plate with 1/2" bolts and washers installed through existing

vehicle cross member holes and into matching hitch bracket.
6.
Tighten from 10mm bolts to torque specs below and reinstall the heat shield. (note heat shield may need to bend a little to be reinstalled
around hitch.)
7.
Using Zip ties provided. Zip tie hitch to the fascia where the removed brackets where located.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

and SAE J684.
