5 • OPERATION
Depending on the preset light value, each time movement is detected
the red or green LED will briefly flash twice (the LED can be switched off –
see chapter 8 / Remote control). The presence detector operates according
to its default factory settings.
Switch delay
The detector will only activate the lighting after a time delay to prevent
a sudden change in brightness from causing undesired switching on / off
of the lighting.
Time delay from "light to dark": 30 seconds = red LED lights up
for channel 1/green LED lights up for channel 2.
Time delay from "dark to light": 5 minutes = red LED lights up
for channel 1/green LED lights up for channel 2.
The "blind" function interrupts the time delay from "light to dark" if the
light value falls below 50 lux and then switches the lighting on at once.
Buttons S1 – S3
The presence detector is equipped with a connection for an external
button for each switching channel. This can be used to manually switch
each switching channel on or off, or to temporarily change the light
channels' DIM values.
If both light channels are switched off, both (C1 + C2) will switch on
together as soon as S1 or S2 is pressed. If the ambient light value is lower
than the preset value, the strip lights will be automatically adjusted to
the preset light value. If the ambient light level is higher than the preset
value, both channels will switch to the orientation light and then off after
1 minute, provided that the lighting is not dimmed via one of the buttons.
Manual switch-on
Briefly press S1 – S2: the lighting will then remain switched on for as
long as the detector detects movement. The predefined time setting
will start once movement is no longer detected. Once this set time has
elapsed, C1 + C2 will switch to the orientation light value for 30 seconds,
indicating that the light will soon be switched off.
Manual switch-off
Briefly press S1 – S2: the lighting for the respective channel will then
remain switched off for as long as the detector detects movement.
The predefined time setting will start once movement is no longer
detected. The detector will revert to the set operating mode once
this time has elapsed.
Note: If one of the channels (C1 or C2) is switched off, this will disable light
control for the channel that is still switched on.
Changing the DIM value
Press S1 – S2 until the required light value is reached. The light value
remains set for as long as the detector continues to detect movement.
The predefined time setting will start once movement is no longer
detected. Once this time has elapsed, the lighting will switch off and
the detector will revert to the set operating mode with the original
light value.
