ROUBLESHOOTING
In case of difficulty, please check the following troubleshooting guide
before seeking service.
Problem
No dial tone
Phone dials in pulse
with tone service
Phone won't dial out
with pulse service
You cannot be heard by
the other party.

Solution
• Check installation:
–– Are the telephone line cords connected to the phone and
the wall jack? Are they damaged?
• Does the hook switch pop up when the handset is lifted?
• Check the SPEAKER button. Is the indicator off?
• Disconnect the phone from the wall jack and connect another
phone to the same jack. If there is no dial tone in the second
phone, the problem might be your wiring or local service.
• Make sure the PHONE is in TONE mode.
• Make sure the PHONE is in PULSE mode.
• Is the handset or headset cord inserted properly and
securely?
• Is MUTE on?
• Is the ringer turned off?
• You may have too many extension phones on your line. Try
unplugging some phones.
• See solutions for "No dial tone. "
• Check setting of volume control.
• Did you program the memory location keys correctly?
• Did you follow proper dialing sequence?
• Make sure the pulse/tone mode is programmed correctly.
• The 9V battery needs replacing or is not installed.
