MPORTANT
• Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.
• Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is
specifically designed for wet locations.
• Never touch uninsulated telephone wires or terminals, unless the
telephone line has been disconnected at the network interface.
• Use caution when installing or modifying telephone lines.
• Temporarily disconnect any equipment connected to the phone such as
faxes, other phones, or modems.

NSTALLING AND
CAUTION: Disconnect the phone cord from the wall outlet before
installing or replacing the batteries.
IMPORTANT: Only the following features will work without AC power or a
properly installed battery, Tone dialing, Outgoing call on Line 1 with receiver
volume control, Dialing of stored numbers from memory, Visual ring indicator
only for Line 1.
Your Three-Line Home/Office Phone has been designed to accept a 9-volt
battery for backup power. In the event you experience a power outage, you
will still be able to use the phone.
1. Carefully turn the phone upside down.
2. On the bottom is the battery compartment door.
Loosen the screw on the door with a screwdriver
and open the door.
3. Install a new or replace the old 9V battery, (not
included) as shown on the diagram inside the
battery compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment door and tighten
the screw. Carefully turn the phone upright.
