ssembly Instructions
Leg type and quantity vary by style. Some styles use wood legs with leg bolts, while other styles
use metal legs and 6-point star drive screws. Multiple seat styles use five legs (one leg in the center
of the unit), while single seat styles use only four legs. Electrical parts vary by style; some styles
use a single power supply, while other styles use two.
Choose a location for the duo ® unit that is close to an electrical outlet, unless your unit is equipped
with the optional rechargeable battery.

1. Remove all packaging from the unit, set the two parts bags aside and gently roll the unit
forward to rest on its front side (F

2. Remove the decorative legs and fasteners (for styles with metal legs) from the parts bag.
3. Look for the small cuts in the dust cover that are used to locate the threads for installing the
decorative legs. Styles that feature decorative wood legs have a small cut in each corner of the
dust cover, and one cut in the center of the dust cover of a multiple seat style. Styles that feature
decorative metal legs have three cuts in each corner of the dust cover, and one cut in the center
of the dust cover of a multiple seat style (F
4. Install the legs.
For decorative wood legs with a leg bolt, start with one leg and carefully peel back the small

cut in one corner of the dust cover to expose the threads. Align the leg bolt to the threads and
turn by hand until tight. (F 2). Repeat this step until all legs are installed. Carefully return

the unit to its upright position.
For decorative metal legs without leg bolts, three 6-point star drive screws are used to attach

each decorative corner leg. Start with one corner leg and carefully peel back the small cuts in
one corner of the dust cover to expose the threads. Orientate the leg to the frame and align the
three holes in the metal leg to the threads in the frame (F
with three 6-point star drive screws and hand pressure only. Do not tighten the screws until
all legs are installed; this allows the legs to move slightly for better alignment. Repeat this step
until all four corner legs are installed. Tighten all twelve screws using a 6-point star driver
(size T30) and torque to 3 – 5 ft-lbs (F
center leg. Carefully peel back the small cut in the center of the dust cover to expose the
threads. Align the leg bolt in the center leg to the threads and turn by hand until tight.
Carefully return unit to its upright position.
