Open the lid of the gun cleaner and pour 50 litres (no more) of solvent straight into the washing
compartment.
The vessel under the recycler is filled with 12 litres of solvent i.e. up to approximately 100 mm from the
edge of the vessel.
The RDX comes with with a laminated quick guide. This is to be placed on the wall next to the recycler.
Once the installation is complete and the system is topped up with solvent, let the customer run the system,
following the quick guide step by step. Check that all the hose connections are tight. Once the recycler is
running, turn to the gun cleaner and run a pre-wash twice. The level indicator of the RDX should be around
50 mm up by then.
Pay the customer another visit on the morning following the installation. Make sure that the distillator has
completed its work during the night and let the customer run the system yet another time according to the
quick guide.
Additional solvent, that has been used somewhere outside of the DRESTER DYNAMIC TRIPLE, can also
be recycled. In this case, pull the vessel under the recycler to the side and place an empty drum (volume of at
least 12 l) under the recycler. Fill the recycler with a maximum of 12 l of dirty solvent and start it. After the
run remember to put back the vessel that belongs to the system.
Loss of solvent is inevitable. The loss appears in both the gun cleaner and the recycler. Lack of circulating
solvent is usually noticed by the first or second pre-wash cycle in the gun cleaner straight after a
transferpumping. At that moment the volume of clean solvent is at its maximum, while the volume of
circulating solvent is minimal. Then pour 10 l of solvent straight into the gun cleaner. If you are out of clean
solvent however, run the system and start the recycler.
MAX-LEVEL INDICATOR OF THE GUN CLEANER
If you top up the system with too much solvent, the max-level indicator will eventually respond. It is then
strictly prohibited to fill it up with more solvent since the recycler will overflow at the next
In time, large remains of sludge appear in the RDX. This is why it is necessary to empty the system,
disconnect the RDX, take it out and clean it once a year. If the system is installed with long pipes between
the gun cleaner and the recycler, reconnect these so that clean thinner is pumped through those pipes that
were previously used for dirty solvent and vice verse. That way the pipes are kept clean.
