The MTG 400i K4 and MTW 500i K4 fume
extraction torches detect the harmful wel-
ding fumes that develop during welding,
right at the point of origin.
The welding fumes are extracted before
they reach the welder's breathing zone.
This ensures the legally prescribed values
for the maximum allowable concentrations
(MAC) remain below or at the required
levels.
The Up/Down torch has the following func-
tions:
- Changing the welding power in syner-
gic operation by means of up/down
buttons
- Error display:
• in the event of a system error, all
the LEDs turn red
• in the event of a data communi-
cation error, all the LEDs flash
red.
- Self-testing in the start-up sequence:
• all the LEDs briefly light up in
succession.
