Driving mode
Driving mode is started automatically as soon
as the car's ignition is switched on. The car can
now be monitored using two different recording
modes. Depending on the situation, using the
vibration sensor (G sensor), in other words,
if there is a vibration above the set threshold
value (sensitivity), the ACE 2.0 will record a 60-
second video sequence. To signal this, a sound
will be emitted from the ACE 2.0 speaker and
the security LEDs on both cameras will flash
(depending on the legal setting in the country
concerned). Using an internal storage module,
the recording of this video sequence normally
starts on the micro SD card 10 seconds before
the G sensor is triggered so that the events prior
to the vibration are also recorded.
Permanent recording can also be activated. In
this mode, 60-second video sequences are
recorded continuously and saved in sequence.
Please check at regular intervals whether
permanent video recording in driving
mode is permitted in the country in which
you are located.
Parking mode
The ACE 2.0 automatically switches to parking
mode when the car's ignition is switched off.
The area in front of and behind the car can be
monitored by the radar and G sensors.
Parking mode may be enabled or disabled
in the default settings depending on your
country.
Please check at regular intervals whether
monitoring in parking mode is legal in the
country in which you are located.

When at least one of the two sensor systems is
enabled, if a vibration is detected on the car (G
sensor) or a motion is detected in front of one
of the two cameras (radar sensor), a 20-second
video sequence will be recorded. To signal this,
the security LEDs on both cameras will flash
(depending on the legal setting in the country
concerned). If new G sensor events have been
recorded, the next time the engine is started,
an acoustic event announcement will be made
"Events recorded during parking".
If the proximity sensor is also enabled, the
probability of recording in full any damage
to the car whilst it is parked is increased.
To ensure that system-related vibrations in
your car in parking mode during the entry
and exit phases (or during the loading and
unloading phases) are not classed as relevant
G sensor events, timeframes of 2 or 3 minutes
are implemented as standard at the "Ignition
on" time. G sensor events which take place
during these periods do not trigger the "Events
recorded during parking" event announcement.
You can adjust these times manually in your ACE
2.0 app. They will still be saved to the micro SD
card and displayed in the ACE 2.0 app. A Wi-
Fi connection between your ACE 2.0 and your
smartphone, etc. is still possible during the exit
phase (for example to change the settings and
view saved media files).
The radar sensor is not active during the
exit phase.
The ACE 2.0 monitors its own power
requirement in parking mode. After it has
consumed a defined quantity of power, the radar
system will be disabled and the car will only
be monitored by the G sensor. The G sensor
monitoring will also be disabled after a further
defined quantity of power has been consumed,
meaning that the ACE 2.0 will be shut down.
This prevents the car's battery becoming drained
so that the car can still be started.
