2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
1.3 PUMP BODY (4 - Fig. 11)
It is formed by a modular series of high efficiency stages, each of
which consists of an impeller and a diffuser in order to reach the
different flow rates and pressures required.
The impellers are balanced in order to limit the vibrations of the
pumps themselves.
Both components are made of cast iron for standard products,
while they can be of bronze on request.
The shaft crossing all stages is made of stainless steel.
The supports on each stage consist of a series of rubber bea-
rings suitable to the abrasive action of the sand.
1.4 COMMAND UNIT (5 - Fig.11)
It is used to support the unit weight, provide the fitting to the
delivery pipes, ensure the pump drive by means of electric or
endothermic motors.
All commands come with a device against the reversal of move-
ment.
The command units can be applied with:
1.4.1 with angle transmission (5.4 - Fig.11)
It consists of a pair of gears that transforms the rotary motion of the engine (usually diesel) from
horizontal to vertical.
The gears are supported by horizontal and vertical shafts, each by a pair of bearings.
The vertical axis is in carbon steel or, on request, in stainless steel.
Lubrication is by oil passed on the bearings and gears and cooled by a coil, by pumped liquid.
Furthermore, the unit has a device against reversal of rotation.
On request, the angle transmission can have a built-in booster.
Fig. 12a shows an application of a pump with angle transmission coupled to a thermal engine by
PTO shaft.
Fig. 12b shows an application of a pump with angle transmission coupled to a tractor by telescopic
PTO shaft.
WARNING!
In such couplings make sure to protect the moving parts!
