6. MAINTENANCE
6.1 REGULAR LUBRICATION
GREASE LUBRICATION
Use high quality mineral-based grease with anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion and
anti-foaming additives.
As an indication, below is a list of a few recommended types of grease.
CASTROL:...... Spheerol
IP:................... Athesia EP
BP:.................. Energrease LS EP
MOBIL:........... Mobilux EP
ESSO:...............Beacon EP
Excessive amount of grease can cause the overheating of the bearings

Unfavourable operating conditions such as high ambient temperature, high atmospheric humidi-
ty, dusty air, aggressive industrial atmosphere, etc., cause the need to check bearings more fre-
quently; in particular cases, they should be washed and provided with new grease.
Before replacing grease, completely remove any used grease. For proper replacement, have the
operation performed by technical service personnel.
OIL LUBRICATION
Monthly check the oil level through the dipstick. If necessary, add oil through the
plug.

Below is a list of a few recommended types of oil:

The frequency of oil changes depends on operating conditions and type of service. Generally, high ope-
rating temperatures require more frequent oil changes; in particular Oil lubrication intervals (hours of
actual operation).
