Function of drilling machines
■
This drilling machine is a pneumatic tool and is used for drilling
■
Never use the drilling machine for others than the intended use.
■
Please take note of the safety instructions !
Use of drilling machines
Safety guidelines have to be respected when working with pneumatic devices! It is
displayed in detail how the machine is constructed in the spare parts list. In general drilling
machines consist of the following main components:
1. Drive spindle:
Is used to attach the drill chuck.
2. Reversing:
To change the direction of rotation of the drill chuck from clockwise to counter-clockwise
and back.
3.Trigger
For starting the device.
4. Power regulation:
For setting of the speed required. Attention! As power regulation depends strongly on the
adjoining flow pressure and its quality, repeatability cannot be guaranteed. The power and
torque delivery also depends strongly on the user and the service time. It is thus absolutely
important to have only trained personnel work with these pneumatic devices.
Operational information
■
Connect the device to compressed air supply.
■
The drill has to be fitted firmly into the drill chuck.
■
To tighten or loosen the drill, hook wrenches are used for drill chucks with ring gear. In
case of quick-fit drill chucks ttightening the drill chuck firmly is sufficient.
■
The chuck might get stuck when getting dirty. In this case it might be helpful to spray
some lubricating oil to the connection and to hit the rim of the drill chuck slightly with
a rubber hammer. Make sure to absolutely clean all parts after having got them apart
successfully!
■
The machine starts when actuating the trigger and it stops when releasing the trigger.
■
To change the rotation direction of the drive spindle, actuate the reversing. The direction
of rotation is marked on the device resp. the reverse switch.
■
To avoid an unintended response time, always check the position of the reversing.
■
Only use the reversing when the drive spindle is no longer turning. Attention! In case of
non-compliance the driving element of the machine can be destroyed.
■
Always hold the machine firmly in your hand in order to ensure flawless functioning.
■
Drill chuck and drill must always be aligned in one line and must not be canted to ensure
risk-free and optimum function.
■
Never use drilling machine and drill for which they were not designed as this could
cause destruction.
■
Check drilling machine first on a test drilling in order to find out the time required for
drilling through.
■
Drilling performances depend on many factors.
■
If the flow pressure of the air is less than 6.2 bar the performance will be reduced.
