ProgramInformationSound/Mute
This setting selects the PI Sound or PI Mute function. Moving into an area
where two stations have identical Alternative Frequencies but different PI codes
destabilizes reception. In this situation, the following options are available:
• PI Sound - To change stations, the other station is played for less than one
second
• PI Mute - The other station is muted.
1.
Press and hold the volume knob repeatedly until "AREA USA" appears on the
display panel.
2. Immediately press the volume knob. "TA SEEK" appears in the display panel.
3. Press the volume knob repeatedly until "PI SOUND" appears on the display
panel.
4. Rotate the volume knob to select "PI SOUND" or "PI MUTE".
5. Leave the unit idle for the setting to take effect.
RetuneS/L
The retune S/L setting delays automatic search for traffic announcements and/or
program information:
• S (short) - delays search for approximately 30 seconds
• L (long) - delays search for approximately 90 seconds.

Press and hold the volume knob repeatedly until "AREA USA" appears on the
display panel.
2. Immediately press the volume knob. "TA SEEK" appears in the display panel.
3. Press the volume knob repeatedly until "RETURN S" appears in the display
panel.
4. Rotate the volume knob to select "RETURN S" or "RETURN L".
5. Leave the unit idle for the setting to take effect.
MaskDifferentProgramInformation(DPI)/All
This setting masks stations during search:
• Mask DPI - Alternative frequencies with different PI codes are excluded from the
search
• Mask All - Alternative frequencies with different PI codes and no RDS
information with high signal levels are excluded from the search.

Press and hold the volume knob repeatedly until "AREA USA" appears on the
display panel.
2. Immediately press the volume knob. "TA SEEK" appears in the display panel.
3. Press the volume knob repeatedly until "MASK ALL" appears in the display
panel.
4. Rotate the volume knob to select "MASK ALL" or "MASK DPI".
5. Leave the unit idle for the setting to take effect.
