Instructions for use
The tilt sensor can only be deactivated (for example
for using a duplex garage or loading the car onto a
train or car ferry) together with the interior guard
without affecting the other functions.
To do this, press the LED button briefly after
switching off the ignition. The LED will start to flash
rapidly for approx. 2 seconds to confirm this
function. After the LED has stopped flashing, press
the LED button again (the LED will again start to
flash quickly again for approx. 2 seconds), get out
of the car and arm the DWA with the remote control.
The LED will then start to flash immediately.
The tilt sensor and interior guard have now been
deactivated and will be reactivated the next time
that the DWA is armed (see supplementary
operating instructions).
14. Notes on programming for
specific customer and country
requirements
Various functions such as adjusting the volume of
the signal, testing the alarm circuits during the
arming phase and the panic circuit can be tailored
to suit your individual requirements.
The various settings can be altered by programming
the system using the appropriate programming unit.
Further details are given in manual 01 29 9 789 189
for the programming unit.
The DWA on each national version must be
programmed to comply with the appropriate
statutory regulations.

Before activating the programming mode, plug
connector F (1) must be disconnected. Otherwise
proper programming will not be possible.
After completing the programming, plug
connector F (1) must be reconnected before
arming the DWA. Otherwise it will not be
possible to deactivate the DWA.
15. Coding
The car's control units do not have to be coded
with DIS or MiDiC.
16. To deactivate the DWA with
a personal secret code
If your remote control key is lost or suffers a
malfunction, you can deactivate the DWA using
your personal secret code.
!
The yellow envelope included in the
installation kit must not have been opened by
the workshop personnel. This envelope contains
the personal secret code. The envelope is to be
given to the owner of the car when the car is handed
over to him or her, and must still be sealed.
The national version for the Netherlands (NL)
does not offer the facility for deactivating the DWA
using a personal secret code.
For further instructions on how to deactivate the
DWA, see supplementary operating instructions for
the DWA V (order No. 01 29 9 416 231).
