6 Installation
After the installation the setup wizard asks you to re-
start your computer. The interface can only be installed
if you follow this request.
The setup wizard puts a programme symbol on the desk-
top and sets up a Vaillant group of its own in the pro-
gramme directory.
6.3

Installing the USB driver for the USB adapter

You must install the driver for the communication inter-
face, which requires a special USB driver, after installing
the programme. To identify the device and install the
driver installation, it is sufficient to connect the USB
adapter to your computer.
The programme installation has already stored all neces-
sary driver data at the right position on the hard drive.
You are requested to enter the user name and password
of a user with administrator rights if you do not have ad-
ministrator rights under your own user name.

• Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB adapter
and a USB socket of your computer.
A window appears on the screen with a message that
the operating system has found a new device and a driv-
er has to be installed in order to use it.
• Select the automatic installation (recommended meth-
od) of the driver and click on Next.
