"ON/OFF" Button
• To turn the UPS on: Press the ON/OFF Button. If utility power is absent, all three LEDs will illuminate for one second while the UPS
initiates a "cold-start", i.e. turns on and supplies power from the battery supply.
• To turn the UPS off: Press the ON/OFF Button. The UPS will be completely turned off (deactivated).
2
"AC Power" LED: This green LED illuminates continuously to indicate that the UPS is ON and supplying your equipment with AC power
from a utility source. This LED will flash when the UPS operates in automatic voltage regulation (AVR) mode.
3
"Battery" LED: This yellow LED flashes and an alarm sounds every 10 seconds to indicate that the UPS is supplying your equipment
with AC power from its internal batteries. When a low battery condition is reached, this LED will flash and the UPS system alarm will
sound every 1.5 seconds.
CAUTION! If the LED flashes and an alarm sounds every 1.5 seconds during a prolonged blackout or brownout, the UPS
system's batteries are nearly out of power; you should save files and shut down your equipment immediately. Allow the UPS
to recharge continuously for at least 12 hours.
4
"Warning" LED: This red LED illuminates continuously to indicate an overload condition or UPS fault. When this happens, the UPS
system's alarm will sound every 1.5 seconds.
CAUTION! Any overload that is not corrected by the user immediately may cause the UPS to shut down and cease supplying
output power in the event of a blackout or brownout.
5
Surge-Only Protected Outlets: Provide surge and line noise protection, not battery backup. Plug equipment (such as a printer,
scanner or fax machine) that does not require battery backup during a utility power failure into these outlets.
6
Battery Backup Protected/Surge Protected Outlets: Provide both battery backup and surge protection. Plug your computer, monitor
and other critical equipment into these outlets. NOTE: DO NOT PLUG LASER PRINTERS INTO THESE OUTLETS.
7
Replaceable Input Fuse: Protects your electrical circuit from overcurrent draw from the UPS load. If the fuse blows, remove some of
the load, then replace the blown fuse with a new one.
