REWINDING SPOOL FROM BULK LINE (USE ONLY .080 INCH
(2.032MM) DIAMETER LINE)
Bulk line for your trimmer is available at
extra cost from your local dealer or
Black & Decker Service Center.
To install bulk line, follow the steps below.
• Turn off the trimmer and remove the
battery.
• Remove the orange hub cap by pressing
in on the release tabs and popping one
side out of the spool housing and then
the other
• Remove the spool from the tool and
remove and discard all line on the spool.
• Your line spool for this product has two
(2) wind areas for line. Wind line in one
area first and then in the other.
NOTE: For best results, wind line onto
the outer portion of the spool first
(marked 1st in figure T). Do not allow
the line from one winding area overlap
into the other winding area.
• Fold over nylon line about 3/4" (19mm)
from the end to form a "hook". Insert the
hooked end of the line into the slot on
the inside of the spool as shown in
figure T.
• Snugly and evenly wind the bulk line
onto the spool in the direction of the
arrow. Wrap about 16 feet (4.87m) of
line in each area. Do not overfill spool. Repeat for the other wind
area.
• "Park" the end of the line in the slots on both sides of the spool as
shown in figure U.
