General operation
There are moving parts inside the pumphead. Before opening the
pumphead guard, ensure that the following safety directions are
followed:
1.
Ensure that any motor drive connected to the pumphead is
isolated from any electrical or compressed air supply.
2.
Ensure that there is no pressure in the pipeline
3.
If a tube failure has occurred, ensure that any fluid in the
pumphead has been allowed to drain to a suitable vessel,
container or drain
4.
Ensure the pumphead is isolated from the fluid supply
5.
Ensure that appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is
worn
Opening the pumphead guard
Isolate the pump from the mains power supply.

Unlock the pumphead guard by turning the guard fastener ¼ turn anticlockwise with a flat-head
l
screwdriver suitable for the hazardous area.
Open the guard to its full extent to create maximum clearance for the tube ports.
l
Ensure that the rollers rotate freely and that the tube clamps are clean.
l
Pre-load checks
Before loading tubing, ensure that all rollers rotate freely, that the tube ports and location grooves
l
are clean
Closing the pumphead guard and start-up
Ensure no debris, loose fastenings or other foreign objects are in
pumphead before start-up. Failure to do so may result in an explosion
hazard.
Close the guard and engage the guard locking by turning clockwise with a screwdriver.

Connect suitable pipe work to the pumphead using the appropriate connectors.
