19 Transporting

19.1 Hedge Trimmer

WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended
activation, never transport the hedge trimmer with the
connecting cord inserted.
WARNING
Cover the entire length of the cutting blades with a blade
scabbard before transporting or storing the hedge trimmer to
reduce the risk of cut injuries from inadvertent contact.
When transporting the hedge trimmer:
► Slide a blade scabbard over the cutting blades so that it
covers the entire cutting attachment.
► When transporting the hedge trimmer by hand, hold it by
the loop handle with the cutting blades pointing
backwards, opposite the direction in which you are
walking.
► When transporting the hedge trimmer in a vehicle, cover
the entire length of the cutting blades with a blade
scabbard. Secure and position the hedge trimmer to
prevent turnover, impact and damage.
Your hedge trimmer comes standard with a blade scabbard.

20 Storing

20.1 Hedge Trimmer
WARNING
Store the hedge trimmer indoors in a dry, secure place that
is inaccessible to children and other unauthorized users,
@ 7. Improper storage can result in unauthorized use and
damage that can increase the risk of severe personal injury
and property damage, @ 7.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of unintended activation, never store the
hedge trimmer with the connecting cord inserted. Always
remove the connecting cord before storing.
When storing the hedge trimmer:
► Clean the hedge trimmer, @ 21.1.
► Clean the cutting blades, @ 21.2.
► Store the hedge trimmer indoors in a dry and secure
location, out of the reach of children and other
unauthorized persons.

21 Cleaning

21.1 Cleaning the Hedge Trimmer

WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended
activation, remove the connecting cord before carrying out
any cleaning work, @ 7. Users of this hedge trimmer should
carry out only the cleaning described in this manual.
