• Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories from
the inside and the outside of the appliance.
• To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a
corner or against a wall.
• Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass
table, tablecloth, varnished furniture, etc.) or on a soft surface
such as a tea-towel.
• Never place the appliance on or near hot or slippery surfaces;
never leave the cord hanging over a heat source (hotplates,
gas stove, etc.).
• Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with
the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of

the appliance.
• Fully unwind the power cord.
• After pre-heating, the appliance is ready for use.
• Do not place cooking utensils on the cooking surfaces of the
appliance.
• Always use a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid damaging the
cooking plate.
• Never cut food directly on the plates.
• Do not place the hot plates under water or on a fragile surface.
• Do not touch the metal parts of the appliance when it is
heating or operating, as they are very hot.
• Do not move the hot appliance when in use.
• Only use the plates provided with the appliance or bought
from an Approved Service Centre.
After use
• Place the thermostat in the min. position - 17.
• Unplug the appliance. Leave it to cool down - 18 - 19 - 20.
Cleaning
• Unplug the cord from the mains socket and let the appliance
cool down.
• Clean the plates and the body of the appliance with a sponge,
hot water and washing up liquid.
The plates are dishwasher safe.
• Never immerse the appliance in water with its heating
element and its cord.
They are not dishwasher safe.
• If the heating element is really dirty, rub with a dry cloth
when cold.
Environment protection first!
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled.
Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.

On first use, there may be a slight

If the heating element is incorrectly
positioned, the safety system will prevent
the appliance from working.
Do not use aluminium foil or other
objects between the plate and the
food being cooked.
Do not cook food in aluminium foil.
To avoid spoiling your product,
do not use flambé recipes in connection
with it at any time.
Never use metal scourers or scouring
powders to avoid damaging the cooking
surface (e.g. : non-stick coating, ....).
Do not immerse the appliance in water.
