SELECTING ABRASIVE PAPER
Coarse-grained abrasive paper is generally suitable for coarse processing of most materials, while fine-
grained abrasive paper is applied for finishing works.
When the surface is not flat or even, start the work with coarse-grained abrasive paper and continue
until the surface is flat.
Next use middle-grained abrasive paper to remove traces of coarse processing.
To finish the work use fine-grained abrasive paper.
INSTALLATION OF ABRASIVE PAPER
The sander features backing pad with hook-and-loop fastener (Velcro), which allows for easy and rapid
replacement of abrasive paper.
Hold abrasive paper close to backing pad (4), making sure that holes on the abrasive paper "a" match
holes on the backing pad then press to ensure effective discharge of dust (Fig. A).
To remove the abrasive paper, deflect it on one side and then pull it.
Use perforated abrasive paper, so the dust can reach extraction holes in the backing pad to dust
discharge installation. Each time prior to replacing used abrasive paper with a new one make sure
to remove dust and any contamination from the sander backing pad, using a tool such as brush of
paintbrush.
In addition the sander features clamps for attaching abrasive paper to triangular or rectangular backing
pad square when using abrasive paper without hook-and-loop fastener (Velcro).
Select proper grit size of the abrasive paper for the planned work.
In order to soften the paper, rub its smooth side against an edge, for instance of a tabletop edge.
Loosen abrasive paper clamps (5) (fig. B).
Fix abrasive paper on the sander backing pad (4).
Make sure that the holes on abrasive paper and sander backing pad (4) fully match.
Bend both ends of abrasive paper on the edges of sander backing pad.
Tighten the abrasive paper clamping levers (5).
Make sure that abrasive paper is installed properly.
Abrasive paper must firmly adhere to the sander backing pad. No slack is allowed. If abrasive paper
stretches during sanding, remove the slack, which will significantly prolong the lifetime of the
abrasive paper.
