3 Product Overview

3.1 Intended use

The shower and toilet chair is designed exclusively as an
aid for showering or bathing, going to the toilet, for use
during personal hygiene (e.g. in front of the basin) or for
transferring patients while indoors. It is intended to be used
by youth and adult patients with or without caregiverˈs
assistance, who have:
• a physical size to or more than 146 cm, a weight equal
to or more than 40 kg and a body mass index (BMI)
equal to or more than 16
• Difficulty standing or keeping their balance
• Weak legs or lower limb disability
• Medical conditions that impair their balance
The product is intended for institutional and private house
hold use. Any other use is prohibited.
As a toilet chair, the product can be used over a standard
toilet or independently with the toilet pan (optional).
The shower and toilet chair may only be used as a bathing
chair in a pool, if the pool does not contain salt water and
an attendant is present at all times.
Temperature for use: 10 - 65 °C

3.2 Product Description

Aquatec Ocean Ergo and Aquatec Ocean Ergo XL are
mobile shower- and toilet chairs with stainless steel frame,
individually adjustable seat height, tension adjustable
backrest, flip up armrests and foldable angle-adjustable

textured foot plates, designed for people with disabilities
that restrict showering/toilet use. The product is available in
two models: A model which can be pushed using the push
handles and a 24" wheels-model for self-propelling.
