In order to prevent simple manual
adjustment of the temperature, GROHE
provides this socket spanner adjustment.
Remove temperature control handle (D),
see fold-out page I, Fig. [1].
- Remove screw (A), remove cap (B),
remove screw (C) and detach
temperature control handle (D). Unscrew
regulating nut (E), detach complete stop
ring (F) with mixed water stop.
Install socket spanner adjustment (G),
see Fig. [2].
- Attach handle (G), install screw (H).
Reversed installation (hot on right - cold
on left), see Fig. [3].
- Reverse the hot and cold water supplies
by turning the fitting body.
- Exchange cap (J) and mixed water
outlet (K).
- Remove screw (H) and detach
handle (G).
- Lever off cover ring (L).
- Turn all parts through 180° and reinstall.
- Observe correct installation
positions.
Adjusting
Temperature adjustment, see Fig. [4].
• Before the mixer is put into service, if the
mixed water temperature measured at
the point of discharge varies from the
specified temperature set on the
thermostat.
• After any maintenance operation on the
thermostatic cartridge.
Open draw-off points and read off
temperature of the water on the
thermometer, see Fig. [4].
Use socket spanner cap (M) as an aid to
temperature adjustment.
- Insert socket spanner cap (M) into the
handle (G) until there is noticeable
resistance and turn using 3mm allen key
until the water temperature has
reached 40 °C.
- Remove socket spanner cap (M) again.
- Insert stop disk (N); only one installation
position is possible.
- Insert socket spanner cap (M) into the
handle with the marking (M1) for the set
temperature showing and press
downwards firmly, see Fig. [5].
Thermal disinfection, see Fig. [5].
- Using a 3mm allen key, turn the socket
spanner cap (M) to the hot water end
stop.
- Open draw-off points and allow hot water
at a minimum temperature of 70 °C to
run for three minutes.
- Turn the marking (M1) of the socket
spanner cap (M) back to the desired
mixed water temperature.

To enable readjustment, the socket
spanner cap (M) must be pressed out of
the handle (G) from behind before the
handle is installed, see Fig. [6].
Remove stop disk (N).
