The assembly aid is applied dry.
1. Determine centre of vehicle with a tape measure and
assembly aid -10- on bonnet, as shown - mask off
roof and upper and lower parts of tailgate as required.
Dimensions -a- to -f- must be identical on left and right
sides. The assembly aid -10- must run centrally over the
VW emblem.
No stripes are applied to the electric panorama sliding/
tilting glass roof.

1. Fill spray bottle with assembly concentrate -9- and
approx. 0.5 l water.
2. Spray adhesive area on right side of bonnet with soapy
solution.
3. Pull trim foil for right side of bonnet -1- off protective
backing and spray adhesive side thoroughly with soapy
solution.

1. Position trim foil for right side of bonnet -1- on bonnet as
shown and align to assembly aid -10- -large arrows-.
Ensure an all-round even gap to the VW emblem.

The position of the foil can be adjusted over a longer

period.
If the foil will not move, pull it off, respray thoroughly

with soapy solution and reinstall.
NOTE
• Always wrap the squeegee in a soft lint-free cloth. The
foil may become scratched if the squeegee is not
wrapped in a cloth.
- Wrap the squeegee in a soft lint-free cloth.
- Spray foil with soapy solution.
- Starting in the area of the VW emblem, squeeze the
water and possible air bubbles out towards the near
edge -arrows- using the squeegee.
3. Apply trim foil to left side of bonnet -2- using the same
technique as for the right side of the bonnet -1-.
4. Carefully remove the assembly aid -10-.
